generational trauma

This collection was designed thinking of how deeply rooted in our blood the pain we feel is.

My psychologist once told me ‘the same pain never comes back twice’, and I took inspiration from this quote to try unfold all the pain that surrounded the women in my family, and healing it through art and self expression.

The shapes of the garments are simple and they remind of a classic silhouette, but the use of transparencies and textures, empty spaces, holes and stretches remind of a wounded and soft woman that always had to act strong to keep the family together and never put herself and her womanhood first, but you can see a reflection of it throw her wounded but beautiful garments she wears.

In the shooting we portrayed this idea of endless beauty that doesn’t fade with the years but embraces its own core and her inner child, enhancing any experience at any age.
